#11332 1/4 Daguerreotype, dandy with a big tie/ascot holding a smallish cane
Quarter plate (3.25" by 4.25") daguerreotype of a dandy with a big tie/ascot holding a smallish cane (what would that have been used for??? Or is it just a studio prop) and a nice white hat on the table. Housed in a nice full case with some wear, I have applied a leather spine repair. The case closes fine and the clasps work fine. The plate is in good condition, I rapidly cleaned the plate. Some spots as seen remain. I have resealed the plate with a new glass, Filmoplast P90 and archival polyester film.
