#11195 Half Plate Daguerreotype, precious young girl
Double silvered half plate (4.25" by 5.50") daguerreotype of a precious young girl looking a little anxious sitting a large, upholstered chair. She is wearing an off-shoulder dress with ribbons on her upper arms. Her white dress is solarized. Housed in a full case with some wear. The hook clasps are present and work, the top hook is slightly bent. There is an old leather spine repair.
CONDITION: The plate is in excellent condition with some tarnish, and I have resealed it with a new glass, Filmoplast P90 and archival polyester film.
