#11218 1/6 Daguerreotype, adorably posed little girl

Double-silvered sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype of an adorably posed little girl. Wonderfully posed children are hard to come by; almost certainly from one of the Boston Master daguerreotypists. A previous owner has marked “SOUTHWORTH & HAWES?” on the Filmoplast P90 re-seal. I am not sure that is true; more likely by “WHIPPLE & BLACK”. Housed in a full black BOSTON-style push-button case which has some wear.

CONDITION: the plate is in excellent condition with tarnish as seen. Resealed by a previous owner.
