#11224 1/6 Daguerreotype, handsome Gold Miner
Sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype of a very handsome Gold Miner wearing heavy leather gloves and a neat hat. He is wearing a typical mining shirt with something heavy in the left pocket. There is a gilded gold pin on his shirt. Housed in a nice full case with some wear and an older leather spine repair.
CONDITION: The double-silvered plate is in very good condition. There is a mark across his glove on the right, some tarnish and very light mat abrasions along the mat only seen at different viewing angles. There is one teeny dot in the upper left tarnish that may be corrosive. The plate was resealed with Filmoplast P90 by a previous owner.
