#11234 Early 1/6 Daguerreotype of a gent wearing a tall top hat
Early 1840’s sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") Daguerreotype of a gent wearing a tall top hat and a fancy looking vest. Housed in an early full case with some wear, it has an intact original spine. The case has a single working hook clasp.
CONDITION: The plate is in excellent (-) condition with tarnish around the mat, a few flecks and specks and a whitish chemical spot on his hat. I have resealed the plate with a new glass, Filmoplast P90 and archival polyester film.
