#11236 1/6 Daguerreotype, teenage boy holding his dog
Sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype of a teenage boy holding his dog. Looks as if the dog is sitting in a child’s high chair. Housed in a full case with some wear, the velvet pad has an embossed flying eagle. I have applied a leather spine repair to the case.
CONDITION: the plate is in very good condition with some spots and tarnish as seen. I have resealed the dag with a new glass, Filmoplast P90 and a piece of archival polyester film.
