#11240 1/6 Daguerreotype, wild hair double earring sailor
Sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype of a wild eyed, wild hair double earring sailor. I would think with his age he may be a first mate or Captain and not a normal sailor. I can’t figure out whether he looks scared or is just scary looking. Housed in a full case to which I have applied a leather spine.
CONDITION: The plate is in excellent condition. The white speck on his arm at the right is a speck of dust from the scan and is not on the plate or glass. I have resealed the plate with a new glass and Filmoplast P90.
