#11254 1/6 Daguerreotype, young boy w/horse & cart pull-toy
Excellent sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype of a young boy and his horse & cart pull-toy on the table. The young boy is finely dressed in a slightly tinted shirt, white pants and what looks to be spats over his shoes. Housed in a one of the finest leather cases I have seen which has an original spine. There is a piece of paper glued to the back which reads “Aunt Adelia wrote this so it is ?????? father. Your Great Grandfather William Sh????? Johnson taken on his 3rd birthday” there is also an arrow pointing to the word “Brother” and possibly “Wife”.
CONDITION: excellent condition with a nice ring of tarnish. A previous owner had this image professionally resealed with Filmoplast P90.
