#11256 1/6 Daguerreotype, man of the South wearing a light jacket
Sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype, looks like a man of the South wearing a light jacket. He appears to be an outside working man with his sun burned face. Nice “Castle” backdrop. Housed in a full case with wear, working clasp and original intact spine.
CONDITION: the plate is in good condition with tarnish as seen and two light wispy wipes seen at some viewing angles. One across the bottom left from the mat to the middle of his vest. The other from the trees in the upper left backdrop across his face and then upwards toward the castle. I have provided opposing scans to try and show them, the scanner did not pick them up too well. The plate has a new glass and a Filmoplast P90 seal by previous owner.
