#11259 1/6 Daguerreotype, two young male friends, train tie pin
Sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype of two young male friends. The gent on the left is wearing a curious tie pin which appears to be a steam train locomotive, the gent on the right has a pinkie ring. The image came with a piece of paper which has several names on it and date of Nov. 15, 1854, but I don’t think it is original to this item. Housed in a full case with a lot of wear and a leather spine repair. The case has one closure, but the hook is missing.
CONDITION: The plate is in very good condition, there are several small mat marks and a couple of spots present. I have resealed the plate with a new glass, Filmoplast P90 and archival polyester film.
