#11260 1/6 Daguerreotype, young man in a Panama hat
Sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype of an interesting looking young man with a slight smile. He is wearing a light coat and Panama hat, showing a checkered vest with watch fob. My scan has not captured how the subject pops off the plate. Obvious solarization to his white shirt and some light tarnish follows the mat opening, mostly on the bottom. One small spot on the left under his hat and the other one above is dust from the scan. Housed in a full case with some wear and an original spine.
CONDITION: the plate is in excellent condition. Resealed by a previous owner with Filmoplast P90.
