#11261 1/6 Daguerreotype, two beautiful tinted kids
Sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype of two beautiful kids, taken with their father. Dag shows better in hand than in the scans. The dag has great tinting, reddish pink to girl's dress and light/faded blue to the boy's shirt. Housed in a full case with some wear and a leather spine repair.
CONDITION: the plate was re-silvered by the daguerreotypist and is in overall excellent condition with some light tarnish as seen. There is a scrape near the mat to the left of the boys arm, one small spot on his cheek and a minute dot on her nose. The dag was resealed by a previous owner.
