#11266 1/6 Daguerreotype, beautiful dark haired young women
Sixth plate Daguerreotype (2.75" by 3.25") of a beautiful dark haired young women. She is wearing a pendant which may contain a daguerreotype. She is wearing bracelets on her wrists, possibly gutta-percha. The velvet pad is stamped with “WILLARD” “120 W. MARKET ST” “BROOKS & SONS E. SCH 6TH ST.”, mostly likely W. Willard of Philadelphia. The dag is housed in a worn full case with an original but weak spine.
CONDITION: The re-silvered plate is in near excellent condition with a few stray marks and tarnish as seen. I have resealed the dag with Filmoplast P90 and archival polyester film.
