#11269 1/6 Daguerreotype, young man in an oiled wheel cap
Sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") Daguerreotype, a young man in an oiled wheel cap posed with a slight tilt to his head. Nice floral accented vest. The line appearing just to the right of his face and beard is from the scan and not on the plate. Housed in a full case with light wear. I have applied a new leather spine. The case has two hook clasps and closes tightly.
CONDITION: The plate is in very good condition with several scattered spots on his clothing. I have resealed the plate with a new glass, Filmoplast P90 and archival polyester film.
