#11274 1/4 Daguerreotype, seated young man chomping on a cigar
Quarter plate (3.25" by 4.25") daguerreotype of a seated young man chomping on a cigar which has been tinted red on the end. The white spotting and slight cloudiness were enhanced by the scanner and the dag shows better in hand. The dag is housed in a full Union Case (BERG 3-19, scarce) which is basically in excellent condition. The hinges are slightly loose, and the case is somewhat hard to open, SO BE careful when opening. These are the only faults I can find with the case.
CONDITION: the re-slivered plate is in good condition. The plate was resealed by a previous owner with Filmoplast P90.
