#11282 1/4 Daguerreotype, cute young boy with bottle curls
Excellent quarter plate (3.25" by 4.25") daguerreotype of a cute young boy with bottle curls. He was dressed in fancy clothes. He was placed on a box for the exposure and did very well at standing still. Housed in an early full case (BERG 4-9 Cupid with bow and arrows) on the front side. The case does have some wear and I have applied a leather spine repair. The clasps work fine and closes fine.
CONDITION: the plate is in excellent condition. A few tiny hints of mat marks. I have resealed the plate with a new glass, Filmoplast P90 and archival polyester film.
