#11308 1/6 Daguerreotype, young man possibly a sailor or early miner
Early 1845–1850 sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype of a handsome young man possibly a sailor or maybe an early gold miner. He is wearing a kerchief tied around his next along with a heavy coat with large buttons. Housed in a nice full black case with an old leather spine repair. The clasp functions well and the case closes fine.
CONDITION: the plate is in excellent condition with slight tarnish. I have resealed the plate with a new glass, Filmoplast P90 and archival polyester film.
