#11315 1/6 Daguerreotype, gentleman with wild hair
Sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype of a gentleman with wild hair, beard, and steely eyes. Interestingly the mat is stamped G.R.E.E.N.E., there are five GREENEs listed in “Craig’s Daguerreian Registry.” The plate is housed in an early full case with a lot of wear and an old leather spine repair. The clasp works fine, and the case closes fine.
CONDITION: the plate is in excellent condition. Resealed by a previous owner with new glass and Filmoplast P90.
