#11341 1/4 Daguerreotype, handsome bearded young man with a fly
Quarter plate (3.25" by 4.25") daguerreotype of a handsome bearded young man with a fly on his coat sleeve on the right. I have only seen two other dags that captured a fly. Some spotting and tarnish as seen, cloudiness in the upper right with a slight wipe. I have resealed the plate with a new glass, Filmoplast P90 Plus and archival polyester film. Housed in a nice full case with light wear and an intact original spine. The case closes fine and the clasps work fine.
