#2787 Beautiful Blue Opalescent "SEAWEED" or "CORAL" stand oil lamp
Beautiful Blue Opalescent "SEAWEED" or "CORAL" stand oil lamp. On the under side of the font there are some very shallow broken bubbles and/or extra pieces of glass, these happened during the manufacturing process. Over the years some oil has seeped under some of these, also a little between the font and stem. These are NOT cracks and are commonly seen. On the inside of the base there is some slight roughness in several areas, also a very shallow flake. I really believe these occurred when the lamp was taken out of the mold. This is seen too many times on the inside bases when NO OTHER damage to the foot or outer base is evident for it to have been caused by careless use. I have supplied several photos with the areas in a blue or red box, the flake is very hard to see. Otherwise the lamp is in GREAT condition. Collar size is #1 and it has a period #1 burner with a replacement chimney. The collar looks to have been re-plastered somewhere along the line. Approximate size: 8 1/2" to top of the collar, base is 4" wide and the font 5" wide. Shipping weight: 6 lbs.
