Masterful quarter plate (3.25” by 4.25”) daguerreotype by CHASE. A very handsome young gentleman proudly seated for his new likeness to be made. Some tinting to the chair and his face. Housed in a very good to excellent black BOSTON style push-button case. 

CONDITION: the plate is in excellent condition. Resealed by a previous owner.
