#11204 1/4 Daguerreotype, great outside scene
Great Quarter plate (3.25" by 4.25") daguerreotype outside scene of a large farmhouse and an adjoining house nearby. It appears that the two structures are attached. There is a man standing in the doorway with several farm implements on the porch; one looks to a plow. The back of the plate has a faint word or two written on it, I can’t discern what they are. Housed in a full case with wear and a nice leather spine repair. The hook clasps are present and function as expected.
CONDITION: The plate is in good condition with tarnish, some scratches at the bottom and several minuscule mat marks. The plate was resealed by a previous owner who made several remarks on the seal.
