#11208 1/6 Daguerreotype, handsome bearded Gold Miner
Sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype of a handsome bearded gold miner. Wearing a typical heavy work shirt with a pocket and a tie or ascot. He is wearing a gold gilded ring on his pinkie finger. The plate has obvious condition issues as seen but is still a great gold miner image. Housed in a very worn full case with a weak original spine. The hook clasps are present and function as expected.
CONDITION: The double silvered plate has tarnish, light brown spots. Abrasions and some scratching, mostly appearing at the top right background and along the bottom. Of course, the scanning process highlights all of the condition issues. I have resealed the plate with a new glass, Filmoplast P90 and archival polyester film.
