#10846 1/6 Daguerreotype, young girl holding a large doll
Sixth plate (2.75" by 3.25") daguerreotype of a standing young girl holding a large doll. She is wearing a tied down hat and a crocheted cape. The photo was possibly taken in her home as there is a large baseboard visible to the right and in the background. The feet of a photographer’s stand can be seen behind her. I could not get a good scan of the dag; it shows much better in hand. A piece of paper attached to the pad identifies her as “Amiara Stover, daug. of George & Ester Stover”. It is housed in an excellent full case with minimal wear and an intact original spine.
